Chantix, a smoking cessation medication, is known to cause suicidal thoughts and suicide attempts in certain at-risk patients. • Toxic epidermal necrolysis syndrome (TENS), a more severe form of SJS in which symptoms affect over 30 percent of the body and the outer layer of skin starts sloughing (shedding) off

Without immediate medical treatment, any of these Chantix side effects can be fatal.
