Synthetic Estrogen
Synthetic estrogen was widely prescribed to prevent instances of miscarriage with pregnant women. The problems with synthetic estrogen ended up affecting up to the third generation. No one knew of the serious synthetic estrogen side effects, which is why synthetic estrogen was so heavily prescribed from the 1940-1970s.
The symptoms of those women exposed to synthetic estrogen resulted in not just physical side effects, but also psychological and reproductive system abnormalities and disorders.
