Patients with preexisting liver conditions have a higher risk of suffering side effects associated to Lamisil, however it was observed that patients suffering liver damage, transplantation, and death were not patients with a higher risk for liver failure. The Lamisil drug label was also changed to better warn patients of the risk of liver failure. Patients with chronic or active liver disease should not use Lamisil drug.
