A woman living in East Texas recently filed a lawsuit against drug maker Actavis regarding the medication, Digitek.
The suit claims the woman almost died after being prescribed the drug, which is prescribed to treat heart conditions.
Woman With Heart Murmur Prescribed Digitek
According to the suit, Danielle Capper was prescribed the controversial medication, Digitek, after to treat her ongoing heart condition.
Capper has reportedly suffered from heart murmurs since she was a child.
“They didn’t know what was going on with my heart,” explains Capper.
Side Effects Become Serious
After being on the medication for an extended period of time, Capper began experiencing serious health complications.
“It made my heart beat fast. I was shaking and my blood sugar level would run extremely high, then extremely low,” says Capper.
Within two months, Capper was rushed to the hospital experiencing severe heart problems three different times.
The last time, she was reportedly flat-lined and was brought back to life after being very close to death. “I thank God every day that I am here. And I worry about the people that don’t know about the risks and might still be taking these pills,” states Capper.
