Two Lipitor lawsuits have been filed on behalf of men who claim that this cholesterol drug caused them to develop serious side effects including memory loss, extreme fatigue, and nerve damage.
The FDA approved Lipitor, made by Pfizer, in 1997 to help lower patient's cholesterol. This is one of the most popular drugs on the market today.
One of the plaintiffs who filed a Lipitor lawsuit, 67-year-old Charles Wilson from Georgia, claims that Lipitor is responsible for his memory loss, bouts of fatigue, and nerve damage. The second plaintiff, 47-year old Michael Mazzariello from New York, is filing a separate Lipitor lawsuit alleging serious side effects suffered by this medication.
Mazzariello claims that Lipitor caused him nerve and muscle damage, and memory loss, which "ruined his life." He had used Lipitor for two months, and Wilson had used the cholesterol medication for approximately one year.
Pfizer says they will fight these claims aggressively, noting that Lipitor is one of the best-studied cholesterol medications available. For more information on drug recalls and dangerous drug side effects, please contact us to confer with an attorney.
