Paxil patients left unhappier after beginning drug therapy

There are about 4,000 Paxil patients involved in a class action lawsuit against Paxil maker GlaxoSmithKline, with allegations that they should have received warnings of the dangers and addiction Paxil can cause. According to the plaintiffs involved in the Paxil lawsuits, Paxil can cause dependence and withdrawal symptoms that the company has known about for years without informing the medical community. In the spring, the FDA issued an advisory on Paxil, alerting doctors to monitor patients for signs of suicide.
