$1 billion fen-phen award upheld

In April, a $1 billion verdict against Wyeth was awarded after fen-phen was linked to the death of fen-phen user from primary pulmonary hypertension (PPH). Hundreds of PPH diagnoses have been made because of the use of fen-phen. A judge has upheld the $1 billion jury verdict.
