Yaz birth control stroke is a dangerous, potentially fatal side effect of the oral contraceptive. Yaz is an oral contraceptive medication that prevents pregnancy by changing a woman's cervical and uterine lining. Generically known as drospirenone, Yaz birth control pills are the only form of contraception that come in 24/4 dosage – with the first 24 pills being active with a synthetic progestin (hormone) and the last 4 pills being placebos.
